I first realized I wanted to be a teacher when I was in seventh grade Pre-Algebra. My teacher asked me to aid a fellow student in understanding a concept. After helping my classmate, the feeling of accomplishment and making a difference was like a fresh breath of air. From that point forward, I knew I wanted to help all people understand the world. From math to world languages to history, it is my goal to aid the populace in achieving a greater depth of knowledge concerning the world around us. Upon high school graduation, I attended Longwood University. There, I chose to study history and political science. I chose these subject because they are a particular passion of mine. To me, there is nothing more important than understanding the past and its influence of the world around us. I took a concentration in secondary education and graduated early. I have also completed a master's degree in history. For the past three years, I have been teaching history at my local high school. There is no greater joy than spreading my love for learning. While I chose to pursue my degree in history and political science, I am quite skilled in all subject areas. I have continued to take classes in a variety of subjects.
